Food is delicious. But, couple weeks ago we found a hair, the owner was real nice and said he would replace it. I went today to get our replacement, and bought another pizza to go with it. The bartender commenced to yelling at me in front of a restaurant full of patrons accusing me of trying to get free food, I asked her to call Rick (owner) to verify, cause I understand. She was rude from the beginning, and will probably cost them our business, which upsets me because their food is great. Terrible that an employee can give the whole establishment a bad name.

While visiting OKC from Florida we ate here - what a mistake. When you enter an "Italian" restaurant you expect to smell good smells coming from the kitchen. Not here. My first impression of the dark and dank appearance of the place made me think that Robert Irvine from the 'Restaurant Impossible' TV show would have a field day with this place and what a great episode this would make. (OWNER: if you are reading this call his show!) We perused the menu and the prices for a plate of spaghetti and "sussy sauce" was like $16. So we got a pizza and an order of cheese sticks. Our "Italian bread and butter" was packets of saltine and club crackers (whaaaa??) and pats of butter. Seriously, I am buttering a saltine? As we suspected when ordering them the $8 cheese sticks were from the freezer. The sauce was not tasty. The pizza was ok. Not remarkable. It took 40 minutes to get it and was just okay. Wouldn't go back to have it even if they renovated the place. Service was bad. But I heard the waitress say they were down a person, so I really didn't count that against them - but there's plenty wrong even without mentioning the service.

The pictures on the website are deceiving in case you were wondering. Ambiance? It's dated. Could use a revamp, but it is what it is. I should have known better, but I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and gave it a second chance. I heard from the in-laws that the fried chicken was fantastic. Yes, the fried chicken was tasty. My bro-in-law enjoyed his canelloni and said it was the perfect portion. All in all? I was really disappointed with the dining experience as a whole. The events that lead up to my SMH moment: -We ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, cannelloni, chicken parm and fried chicken. All come with a salad and so we all ordered caesar salad. The CP and FC comes with choice of a side. I asked for a baked potato with the works. My husband asked for spaghetti. -Ordered the regular ice tea and wanted to add some Splenda. I used the last packet. After I received a refill, I checked the bottom of the sugar holder to see if a lone Splenda was hiding and found a dead insect carcass. Man :( -Salad arrives. Gold star for the way they cut the lettuce. No romaine stumps! Dressing was a little on the sweet side. Very creamy. FYI -Our main courses arrived and still no appetizer. Erp? -We did get a bread basket. -I find out that Sussy sauce is indeed marinara. It's sweet and reminds me of Ragu. -A million apologizes from our server regarding the app. We cancel it. Ask for the spaghetti that was suppose to come with the chicken parm. Repeat the first sentence. At home, my husband mentions that we were charged for each salad. He didn't bother to ask the server about it because, well. I don't think it was her day. As I laid in bed I realize that I never received my baked potato. Good grief. As much as I enjoyed my fried chicken, the magic 8 ball says it's highly unlikely that I'll be back.

First off the comments about the smell are correct. The comments about the decor being dated are too, however I liked it. It not an Olive Garden folks. The food was good and the portions were generous. The service was good and attentive, late Sunday dinner. The only issue I had and the addressed it was that my lasagna was cold. It's a nostalgic place so it gets a pass in my book.

Man, I'm the type that tries to find good in everything, but I just really couldn't find it here. I even gave myself a good night's sleep before writing a review to make sure I wasn't judging too harshly. But alas, I still offer a one star review. We ate lunch here yesterday. We waited a bit at the front, as we weren't sure whether or not to seat ourselves. After a few minutes, and the girl at the front seeing us, I finally asked, and was told to seat myself, but not at the front. We went into the back of a very dark, dated room and picked one of the 3 clean tables in the room. Seriously, it looked like no tables had been bussed since noon. (It was around 130 at this point). Our waitress eventually made her way to us and proceeded to give us the most surly wait service I've ever had. It was like we had genuinely offended her. My husband ordered wine and she plopped it down with a thud and not much else. The food came - I got the club and fries which were decent and he got the meatball sub and fries. The meatballs were kind of gross to both of us - strange texture and flavor. He literally only ate one bite, but didn't really want to tell our waitress that he didn't like it since she was already so close to hostile. We shared my sandwich and we ate his fries, which were good but tasted like they came out of the frozen food section. I have to believe that the waitress saw his untouched sandwich - she even asked if he needed a to-go box-but never inquired if there was anything wrong with it when he said no. And, as she was so rude the whole time, we really didn't want to press the matter. We just decided to take the 9 dollar loss and chalk it up to experience. At no point did she soften, not even at that time of the check - at least she was consistent! We paid the check and got out of there. In over 4 years together, we have never not tipped a waitress. I work customer service for a living and understand bad days, mistakes, and the importance of tips. But I can't understand blatant rudeness and near hostility. We left without tipping. So, poor service, with mediocre food and a depressing environment with dirty tables. It's a no go for me. Save your money. Go somewhere else. You'll be much happier for it - and probably that waitress too.

They have great lunch specials! The non Italian food is just a tasty as the Italian! They have the best pizza! I recommend the cheese pizza with fried pepperonis! YES...Fried pepperonis!!! Spaghetti with meat sauce another great dish, it's two meals!! The cannelloni is bomb! Lastly, if you like fried chicken come here! Old style Italian mob type restaurant right here in Oklahoma City!

In good conscience, I have to give it two, but only because we left before I could get straight down to a single star. I am completely confident I'd be at a one star if I hadn't paid attention to my inner radar and run away before it was too late. It started just like any good horror movie should: out with some friends, having a few laughs, enjoying a pleasant Friday night. We'd been to Olive & Co.'s one-year anniversary party, enjoyed the guitarists doing some actually quite good covers and the gourmet cheese to go with the always fabulous olive oil. The champagne was ghastly but also happened to be free, and we were having fun. But one of our party was in dire need of dinner, and we decided to be good friends and come along and eat some more (selfless, I know). We passed Nomad's and ducked in entirely on a whim, with no preconceived notions whatsoever. The place is extremely dark and run-down; it definitely needs an update on the interior. That's okay, I thought confidently: It's rustic, part of the charm. We were told there would be a brief wait, and I headed for the restroom. Walking amongst the crowd, I realized it would be approximately 2054 by the time I reached the age of most of the diners* in the restaurant, and I started to get that creepy feeling on the back of my neck. I'm not ashamed to say I took a look at quite a few dishes at tables as well, and none looked especially appetizing. While we waited, we naturally pulled Yelp up to get a sense of what we could expect and search for recommendations. And then, to my horror, I saw it: Multiple one-stars from Yelpers I respect, and most telling of all, a one-star from our very own CM.** And as you know, to achieve a one-star from the Oklahoma City CM, you can't just have a bad night or a mistake on a dish: You must actually serve rotten food while cussing out your customers. We didn't bail even then, because just like in a horror movie, you never get out when you should. We sat down, grabbed menus, and I became extremely concerned: This was fine dining pricing in what was objectively a pedestrian spot. Then the staff came and brought crackers for the carbs. Real, authentic Italian saltine crackers, thoughtfully preserved in their original, hand-crafted single-serve plastic packaging. I could almost taste the Tuscan hills. Anyway, we kicked it around for a couple more minutes and decided to get the heck out of there. I'm a little torn, because we could have ordered food and been upset ... but we made the right decision. We escaped the horror movie, had a great meal with real, fresh bread at Vito's, and lived to survive another day. Honestly, now that it's over, it's a relief that OH NO THEY'RE BEHIND ME, RUN! RUN! * As always, I must point out that I have nothing against elderly patrons of restaurants or elderly people in general; I simply do not usually enjoy places that cater to that clientele. It's okay; I hope to be elderly myself some day, and hopefully too deaf to hear you making fun of me. ** To continue the horror movie analogy, that's the moment when you open the cellar door and realize yes, your hosts are cannibals.

Very hesitant to give a 1, but it is absolutely necessary for this place. First, we were ignored when we walked in for at least 4mins so we assumed it was a sit wherever you want place. When we went to sit down we got a rude and bitter personal attack about how we had sat in a non-dinner section. When we were finally seated, I asked for a peach bellini which they didn't make so I asked for whatever fruity drink the bartender recommended I try. Server came back and told me the bartender had told me no! Actually used to word no! So then I asked for a lemonade which they didn't have so then I ended up with a Sprite which was watered down and had no carbonation in it at all it seemed! The next bad thing was that they serve packaged crackers and butter...at a sit-down restaurant that costs as much as it does its almost pathetic to serve pre-packaged (stale) crackers with packaged butter. When he finally took our order and we got our food it was bad. I ordered simple fettuccine alfredo. Anyone who makes alfredo knows if you're going to add black pepper to the sauce you add a very little amount. My alfredo was so overly peppered I actually thought they had put white gravy on my noodles! I had to drown it in parmesan cheese to attempt to neutralize some of the pepper flavor. Awful place. I will absolutely never return and would NEVER tell anyone to even try it. I have heard nothing, but bad reviews of their food, service, and restaurant itself. It was the worst birthday dinner I could have possibly had. Great way to nearly ruin my birthday weekend for me. ALSO, parking was filled with pot holes and not very well lit. Would be scared to walk to the restaurant from where we had to park at night by myself.

I am so sorry to report this, but in my opinion, Nomad as I knew it has ceased to exist. I'm not sure what happened. We went last night; we came in very close to closing time, and I feel bad about that. It would have been better to tell us honestly that they didn't want customers so late. If my family hadn't already been seated with drinks when I arrived, I would have made us all turn around and walk out. Walking from the entrance to the table, I was hit with an almost overwhelming smell. The only thing I can say is that it smelled very strongly of urine. WHY? What WAS that?! I cannot believe I'm writing this, because I can't believe we actually ended up eating there anyway. It was everything in me not to say something, but I knew if I did no one would be able to eat a bite of anything (at Nomad or anywhere else) and maybe I was the only one who thought that. But wow. We shared a few things. I did not try the bruschetta we ordered because it looked so greasy and processed-y. The spaghetti was blah and the caesar was really oily and had far too much dressing. The lasagna was truly terrible. The meat was dry and just kind of crumbled out from the inside. The waitress practically knocked me down to pre-bus the table. (Again, we should know better than to come in so close to closing). For $90 before tip for three entrees (which included salad but up-charged $3 for the aforementioned caesar), the brushetta and a few drinks, we should have gone almost anywhere else. Truly, I would have preferred the Olive Garden.

Used to come here quite often about a decade ago, and since that time, not much has changed - This is both a Pro and a Con. As a Con: the restaurant is old and is definitely in need of a renovation. I am not a fan of carpet in restaurants, and especially not a fan when said carpet looks to be a decade or more old. This is probably the culprit for the funky smells other reviewers have commented on. I am pleased to report that there were no foul odors when we dined. Now granted, the place did smell like a Scentsy burner on overload, but I'll take that over the other option any time. As a Pro: this place still fits my bill for comfort Italian food! The Spinach Tortellini in Alfredo sauce is quite tasty and totally hits the spot when it's cold outside and I want to eat like I'm prepping for hibernation. Plus, they give you a ginormous portion, so I always have 1/2 to take home for lunch the next day. Their house salad is a bit sad and definitely over priced at $5, but my hubby wanted me to note that this is one place that will add anchovies to your salad - A big pro for him. The 70's dive-like atmosphere just screams for a couple of White Russians, which I can say were super-yummy! For those wondering, they do bring you bread, but it will be with your meal and not beforehand. The bread basket contains a variety: the garlic bread was too soggy and a bit chewy, but the garlic roll was pretty good. Now, if you couldn't tell by now, I tend to find a dish and stick with it - No "Dora the Explorer" for me. With that said, I can't comment on the consistency or decline of other dishes. I can report that my hubby has had the filet and spaghetti and he says it was good; over-priced for the cut of meat, but still good. On this particular visit, he ordered a pepperoni and black olive pizza - his review: eh. Don't come here thinking your going to be dining in some swanky restaurant that focuses on the most cutting-edge way to cook pasta without water. This is a family-style, independently owned restaurant that's been around for decades who isn't ashamed of her age, though I wish they would realize there's a difference between "holding true to oneself" and "self improving" - If they continue to leave things as is, it probably won't be a place I'll want to dine at in another decade. As it is, I'll go back again when my belly's craving anther 1000+ calorie meal.

I almost think it isn't right to do this review when two of my fellow diners have also recently reviewed the experience, but feel it is important that diners know what transpired during our meal: The only pro I can come up with is that the staff stayed past closing time (begrudgingly so) to allow us to have dinner & drinks. Other than that, it was abysmal. Yep, I said abysmal. The bruschetta had some plastic-tasting cheese with a smattering of tomatoes and a sprinkling of basil atop some cold bread. I should've seen the warning signs that I can do this standard appetizer at home better than they can in their decades-old restaurant, but alas, I stayed for tasteless noodles and sauce. In their defense, I should know better than to order plain pasta and sauce at a restaurant-- craziest markup in the business-- but this was spectacularly bad pasta & sauce. So bad that my sweet, frugal husband almost didn't take home the leftovers (but did, and regretted it). Sad to see a local institution decline in such a swift, stinky fashion (see reviews below), but I feel that the lovely folks of the 405 need to know.

My boyfriend and I always go to Nomads for Valentine's Day because it is very dark and romantic. Service may be a tad slow but the food is really good no matter what you order.

Nomad earned two stars from me only because they stayed open a little late to accommodate our group... The smell hasn't improved, nor has the food. On top of all of that, it is very overpriced for what you get. I tried this place a while back and didn't like it then. I figured that I'd heard a few people say that it used to be good, so maybe I had originally caught it on a bad night. How wrong I was on that one!!! If you like wasting money and hanging out in a stinky restaurant, then this one is for you! I'm staying away from now on!

One of the best Caesar salads and pepperoni pizzas in town. The pizza is loaded with fried peperroni and cheese. The bar is nice size and there is a decent wine selection.

Used to be good, not anymore. Called ahead to confirm our party, arrived 45 minutes after opening, waited 30 minutes to be seated (almost no one in the doing room), finally seated and took our drink orders. When we advised we were ready to order pizza our server said 'sorry we just ran out of dough'. We left as well as a large party who was seated just before us. Things happen, but a pizza place running out of dough right after you open for dinner? And not saying anything until we wait 30 minutes and take our drink order?... Won't be back.

Two thumbs down ! Fried Fleetwood used to be slap your mama mia good but is now pathetic. Back in the day, a down home girls lunch out used to involve pulling out the over-size boyfriend jeans and driving over to Nomad, ordering several of the FF and, so true, sides of gravy, ranch dressing and even marinara to dip every single fried bite into and relish the incredible flavors blending into a taste of sheer bliss. We would order several bottles of red wine and linger over a long lunch. We would leave an enormous tip and waddle out happy and calculating how many miles we needed to log to walk off all those calories so we could go back and repeat the process. These days you get a sauce soaked soggy crust with some kind of thick string cheese that seems never to have melted in the oven. I ignored the fool me twice rule and have gone back five times for the bad pizza. I just knew my Fleetwood would return but after taking an out of state relative there last week.........oops, they did it again! Sadly, Arrivederci Nomad BUT fix the FF and we will be back!

I'll start this with its was decent. Now I work at a pizza place and when the waitress said I have to have their pizza cuz it's so good and what they are known for I said sure. She said the fried pepperoni is awesome so I got the ricks pizza it had fried pepperoni red peppers and peppercines. We changed the peppers to onions. It came out and the waitress served us each a slice so I got my plate with the cheese all over the plate. That's fine if I'm going to eat it presentation of pizza doesn't mean much. The pizza was loaded with pepperoni and skimpy on peppercines and onions. My first bite was sweet like lots of sugar was put in the sauce or something and the cheese tasted old my hands smelled like funky cheese after the meal. After eating two slices I felt sick. Not what I was expecting. I've had worse pizza but this definitely ranked up there. And beware there is a strong odor when walking in and out of the building.

This is one of my favorite comfort foods. We always pick up a large fleetwood (peperoni and hamburger) pizza and a house salad with their AMAZING house creamy italian dressing. The crust is thin, but chewy and the sauce and dressing are sweet. You can even get crafts of the dressing, but watch out it gets sweeter with age.
